Internship Course Description
Many TAS students take part in internships between their junior and senior year. The TAS Summer Academy has worked to make connections with various businesses, universities, and laboratories to provide internship experiences for interested students. Information about the available internships is posted on the bulletin board in front of the Summer Academy Office (1B02).
Mr. Jude Clapper, TAS Director of Scientific Research, will interview students interested in a scientific research internship this year. The purpose of this interview is to learn more about each student's interests and science background. Students should contact Mr. Clapper directly to arrange an interview time. Students interested in a business internship should visit the Summer Academy Office to discuss possible placements with Ms. Chen.
On February 22 students can submit internship applications to the Dean of Students Office (1C38). All applications turned in on February 22 will receive equal consideration for internship positions. Summer Academy administrators will work to match students with an internship that fits their interests and background knowledge. Students will be offered placements by March 5. Applications received after February 22 will be considered on a space available basis.
